Hats Abound

A few sketches from the past few days. One audience member from Sunday's Red Hot Riot, Regina's local monthly comdey / variety show. Then a couple from today's very early morning breakfast at Smitty's. It's been in the mid 20s recently... lots of hats around...

Night time

A quick night time sketch of the Empire Hotel right before going in and picking up some late night wine. I'll definitely be coming around to draw this guy again. Crumbly, gritty, blue and white hotel with an off-sale. I think there's a bar in there too but I have yet to go...

Spring

Bikes are coming out and the last of our most recent snowfall (Friday overnight... 3 inches maybe?) Is disappearing. It was sunny today when I drew this bit of Victoria Park. Still cold, but the number of people out and about is encouraging.

 

Selam

I still feel like a newbie on the Regina food scene, but it's getting better.
Went the other day to Selam, Saskatchewan's only Ethiopian restaurant for an early-ish dinner. I'd heard many good things, and rightly so. Soo good and filling for fairly cheap! There was a little stage in there too, I'd love to go back for music one evening.

Super 8 + Sea + Air

One of the best events I've been to at the Creative City Centre: Shotgun Super 8 Film Festival and a performance from a band from Germany called Sea + Air.
